Cardiff City Hall
The City Hall is among the most significant landmarks in Cardiff and it is located at the centre of the city. Including a marble hall, frequent exhibitions, a large domed roof and stunning architecture, the City Hall plays host to a number of big events and festivals.
Cardiff Castle
This world-famous building is located right in the centre of the city. Cardiff Castle is the home to two millennia of history. Its imposing façade hides many ornate decorations within.
Castle Coch
This fairytale-style building is located close to Tongwynlais. It’s one of the most stunning constructions nearby. Its Gothic-style turrets make for an arresting view, especially on the Red Castle. It was first built for the third Marquis of Bute.
Cardiff Bay
Formerly named Tiger Bay, Cardiff Bay is Wales’ oldest multi-ethnic community. Among the several communities are Yemenis, Greeks and Somalis. The bay was also notorious for its red-light district and gambling dens. Its residents include Billy Boston the rugby star and Shirley Bassey.
